The Sid-athon Finale

After my adoption party at PAWS, I spent the night with my sidekick Romeo and his sassy sister Alley one more time.

I thanked Romeo for letting me crash with him. "No problem," said Romeo. "You are going to like having your own home."

In the car, on my way to Jerry's, I told everybody who  passed by that I was going home! I just had to share my good news with the world!

Aunt Trina was at my new home when I got there, and she was so excited to show me my new backyard. "It's all for you, Sid," she said.

This is my yard, and I love it!

I went back into my home, took off my coat and posed for some new family photos with Marcy and Jerry.

Then I met Gary. "Is this the infamous Sid?" he asked.
"It certainly is," said Jerry.
"He's the best Greyhound ever!" said Marcy.

I am the luckiest boy in the whole world! I am now living in the forever home of my dreams!

I asked Aunt Trina, Barbara and Annie to sit with me for a photo to remind me of the good times we all had on the Sid-athon!

Barbara gave me big hug and told me to go play in my yard.

My yard!!!

I don't mean to brag, but isn't it nice?

After I was done 'sploring, I asked Aunt Trina if I could rest with her.

I snuggled in and took one last nap on Aunt Trina's lap.

Then it was time to say good-bye to Barbara, Aunt Trina and Annie. I hugged and kissed all of them and said, "Thank you for bringing me home."

Thank you, my friends, for following me on my journey to my forever home. I hope you enjoyed my story and meeting me and my friends.

My journey has ended, and I am now home, but many of my friends, who I met along the tour, are still looking for their forever homes. Maybe you should adopt a Greyhound!

Happy tails to you, until we meet again, my friends!

Adoption Party at Paws

After Jerry told me I was going to live with him forever, I just had to share the greyt news with my friends!

"Guess what, Keno and JD, I got adopted today!!"

"Hooray for you, Sid!!" said JD. "You're my hero!"

Then my long lost pal, Artoo, showed up, and I told him the greyt news.
"Congratulations, Sid!"

Keno asked me for some pointers on how to get adopted, and I told him, "It's all in the eyes!"

The day just kept getting better and better when my buddy Buddy showed up with his mom Kiraz.

Buddy was so excited that he practically fainted. "I knew you would find your home, Sid!"

Pretty Emma, on the left, came over to check out what was going on.
"Hi Artoo. Hi, JD. What's all the hullabaloo?"
"It's good news," said Artoo.
"Sid's been adopted!!" said JD.

Emma came over to congratulate me while I was talking with Barbara and Celia.
"I'm going to miss you, Sid, even though I just met you," said Emma.

JD was doing such a greyt job of spreading the news of my adoption, so I let JD tell Mission the good news. Mission was very excited!

JD and Buddy worked the door. JD had to tell everyone that walked by about my adoption.

Then Mission came over to warn me about the busy little Miss B. "Watch out for her, Sid. That flirty blond girl will try and steal Jerry's heart."
The moment I laid eyes on her, little Miss B stole my heart!

Mission was right, she did try to move in on Jerry! "I'm Miss B, wouldn't you like to adopt me?" I could tell Jerry was tempted, and I don't blame him one little bit!

Miss B leaned on Marcy, so I had to move quick and try and stop her.

"Don't worry, Sid," said Marcy. "You're coming home with us."

Then Miss B stepped right on Jillian, and Jillian wanted to take Miss B home right away! But Marcy said I was the Greyhound they had always wanted.

I went to say good-bye to my buddy Buddy and his mom Kiraz. "I'll miss you, buddy Buddy."

Buddy was a little choked up and couldn't look at me. "I'll miss you too, Sid. And I'll always be your buddy Buddy!"

So my encore appearance at PAWS turned out to be my final appearance of the Sid-athon. But there are more pictures to come from my grand finale. Wait until I show you pictures of my new home and yard and Jerry, you're going to love it!

Adoption Day

Hello, my friends. I hope you have heard the good news, I'm adopted!!

When my driver came to pick me up on Saturday for my special encore appearance at PAWS, there was something special in the air.

I kept watching the door at PAWS because I just knew my family was coming to meet me today!

Barbara introduced me to a gentleman, "Sid, this is Jerry." I liked Jerry right away!

"Hi, Sid. I'm Jerry. Would you like to come live with me?"

"This is my daughter, Marcy."

"Oh, Sid," she said, "You are very handsome, and I think you will be happy with Jerry."

Then I met Jerry's granddaughter, Jillian. "I think you should live with my grandpa, Sid. You two will be happy together."

Jerry's family was so delighted to meet me. I hope they could tell that I was just as excited to meet them.

Everybody started talking about plans to go home. I had to look around to make sure I wasn't dreaming again!

But then Jillian reassured me, "You and my grandpa are going to be best friends, I can just tell!"

Plans were being made for my homecoming, but I didn't care about the details because I was finally going home!

Well, home after a party with my Greyhound friends at PAWS. There are plenty of other Greyhounds available for adoption at:
